Developing the Spirit of Faith

Faith is a spirit. We have come to rely more on hope than faith. Everybody and anybody can hope, it is usually driven by our emotions and feelings, but faith is a totally different experience, it is spiritual.

Man is a spirit and what feeds the spirit is the word of God, that is why the bible says in Matt 4:4 “But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” The realm of the spirit operates by words, this is why it is very important to monitor and guard the words that come out of our mouths. A lot of us are where we are today because of the things we have confessed.

God is a spirit and he framed the world by his word, therefore since we are made in His image, we also frame our world by what we say. What we confess may not be our reality, things may not be as we want them to, we may be going through the most difficult times of our lives but we are never to speak those things into existence. Every word you release into the atmosphere will form your world be it good or bad.

We must always act and speak in faith and confess the word always. Words frame our future, if God can call things that be not as though they were, we can too. The question now is, what are you speaking about our future? Are you speaking life or death?
